CVT after COVID-19 vaccination
In response to the multiple reports of cerebral venous thrombosis developing within 4 weeks of COVID-19 vaccination, the ICVTC has launched an international research project to gather high-quality data on these patients. From March 2021 to July 2023, we included data from patients who fulfilled the following criteria:
- Radiologically confirmed CVT
- Onset of CVT symptoms within 4 weeks of COVID-19 vaccination (any vaccine).
- Informed consent for the use of coded data if required by local law.
Recruitment of patients has stopped and it is not possible to include any new patients in the study at the moment. The data of already included patients can still be updated in Castor EDC, for example to add follow-up data. To access Castor EDC, please click on the following button:
